Proxr Terms of Service

Last updated: July 8, 2026

Draft. These terms take effect when the Proxr app becomes publicly available and may be revised before then.

These terms are an agreement between you and Proxr ("we", "us") for using the Proxr app and services. By creating an account or using Proxr you accept them. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information.

1. What Proxr is — and isn't

Proxr helps you describe a home repair or service job (by voice, with an AI assistant), finds local contractors, gathers their quotes, and helps you book one.

Proxr is an intermediary. We are not a contractor and do not perform the work. Any agreement for the work itself — its scope, schedule, price, warranty, and payment — is between you and the contractor you choose. We do not guarantee that quotes will be available for every job, that quoted prices will not change after an on-site assessment, or the quality of any contractor's work.

2. Who can use Proxr

You must be at least 18, able to enter a contract, and using the service for a property you own or are authorized to arrange work for. Keep your account information accurate and your phone number secure — your account is accessed through it.

3. Talking to an AI

Proxr's assistant is an AI. It works hard to capture your job accurately and always asks you to confirm a summary before submitting, but like any AI it can make mistakes — review the summary card before you confirm it, and verify important details (like pricing and scope) directly with your contractor. Conversations are transcribed and the transcript is kept with your job, as described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Quotes, bookings, and payment

5. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service. That includes: submitting fake or unlawful job requests; harassing or abusing contractors or our staff (the assistant included); attempting to probe, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service; using it for any purpose other than arranging genuine home services. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos and descriptions you submit. You give us permission to use them to provide the service — including sharing them with contractors so they can quote your job and processing them with AI as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. Unless we explicitly state otherwise in the app, we do not independently verify contractors' licences or insurance — confirm credentials that matter to you before work begins.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Proxr is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for the acts or omissions of contractors. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid Proxr in the twelve months before the claim and $100 CAD. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Termination

You can stop using Proxr and delete your account at any time in the app's settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or create risk for other users or contractors.

10. Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. For material changes we will notify you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Proxr after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and the federal laws of the United States applicable in it. Courts located in California have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law of your state gives you additional rights.
